January 2004 - Microster Announces a redevelopment in Microsoft .Net

2004/2005 will see the progressive redevelopment of the Microster suite of products using the Microsoft .net Architecture. The first module earmarked for for release is the Roster Self Service module. Further modules will be progressively released during 2005.

The objective of the Microster redevelopment is -

  • User Interface optimisation
  • Re-architecting of system structure
  • Native Browser access to applicable functions
  • Improved scalability
  • Improved use of SQL Server database relational capabilities

Microster will provide updates of the redevelopment via our quarterly newsletter and Business Partner web site access.

December 2003 - Release of Maritine Rostering Module to support vessel-based rostering requirements.

Microster has released a new rostering Module - "Marine Rostering" that specifically supports the efficient rostering of maritime crews. Timeline Rostering provides the following functionality:

  • Graphical View of Vessel Tasking and Manning,
  • Efficient editing of voyage (or maintenance) dates
  • Referencing of Microster placement rules- especially current Tickets, Licenses etc
  • Support of Travel time implications
  • Calculation of "Sea Days"
  • Full labour costing down to vessel-specific rules.

The "Maritime Rostering" module continues the expansion of supported rostering and placement methodologies within Microster and is available for general release in Q1 2004.
